Dr. Lloyd R. Taustine opened the Taustine Eye Center in 1978 with a goal to provide the best quality eye care in the region. Dr. Taustine continues to be on the leading edge of surgical advancements in his field. He was one of the first doctors to perform no stitch cataract surgery.
Dr. Taustine is listed in the “Best Doctors in America” and has been chosen as the “Best Adult Ophthalmologist in Louisville” repeatedly by Louisville Magazine polls since 2001. In the 2014 issue of Louisville Magazine, Dr. Taustine was named a Top Surgeon in the Cataract and Lasik category. The Louisville Magazine award is even more outstanding because the Top Docs are chosen by their peers.
Dr. Taustine recently joined Kentucky Eye Care in January of 2022.
