Dr. Heather L. Harmon graduated with a 4.0 GPA from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Highest Honors. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville, graduating third in her class and Summa Cum Laude. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Louisville, where she was elected Chief Resident.
Dr. Harmon is a past Vice President of the Greater Louisville Medical Society, and served on the Board of Governors for seven years. She is an elected Delegate to the Kentucky Medical Association, and has also served on the Kentucky Medical Association Nominating Committee, Young Physicians Steering Committee and the KMA Strategic Planning Group. She is a past President of the Louisville Academy of Ophthalmology. She is also on the Board of Directors of The Healing Place, and was a Louisville Healthcare Fellow for 2013. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Kentucky Medical Association, the Greater Louisville Medical Society and the Louisville Academy of Ophthalmology.
