Dr. Mark A. Ihnen was born and raised in Paducah, KY. He received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky in 2001 and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2010. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Louisville in 2011 and 2014, respectively.
Dr. Ihnen is professionally associated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Louisville Academy of Ophthalmology, the Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Greater Louisville Medical Society. He has co-authored publications for the US Ophthalmic Review and the Journal of Ophthalmology. His hobbies include golf, fishing, and spending time with his family.
